Come Again?

Actually I think my exact words when the
bishop gave me my new calling were
WHAT? REALLY?
Are you SURE?
Curious yet?
WARD CHIOR DIRECTOR!
Huh?? Me?? Ward Choir Director?
Yes, I love music.
Yes, I have music in my background.
Yes, I have sung in choir.
Yes, I was in band all growing up.
Yes, I play the piano, though not well.
BUT, choir director? REALLY?
Yes apparently.
Never in a million years would I have expected this.
Here goes nothing.

The Church is always making us grow, stretch and try new things! Good luck!

It was fun to see you at the temple. Sorry I was a bit distracted and we didn't get to chat much. You looked beautiful.

Ward choir director was my favorite and most despised calling...can you do that at the same time? Loved it SO much when making awesome music - hating that it was like pulling teeth to get people to come to practices! It might be different in a non-BYU-freshmen ward, though. Good luck!

Haha. You are a much better person than I. I was asked if I could do that in one of the first married wards Brandon and I pretty much said, "I would certainly feel uncomfortable doing that but if that is what you really think the Lord wants and you can't find anyone else, let me know and I'll do it." I know, horrible. So, I got off the hook. He said he would find someone else and he did. I really let him know though that I would do it if he really thought the Lord wanted me to but that I really would not like it. Seriously, that is like my worst feared calling. Luckily our ward here in Moscow isn't big enough to have a ward choir. So I don't have to worry about that. :)
